VACHTANG KOVESHNIKOV,

PRESIDENT
OF THE UNION OF
ST.PETERSBURG ENTREPRENEURS

To agree about the ways to overcome the crisis

We, producers and entrepreneurs, lack contacts with our colleagues from the other regions of Russia and the CIS. We do need these contacts, both for information exchange and establishing new as well as restoring old business ties.

Now, that the government is participating less and less in the production process (the result of reforms) new principles of production management are wanted, as well as the coordination of actions between industries and individual enterprises. It is in this sense, I hope, that the St.Petersburg Economic Forum will open up new perspectives for creating partnerships on mutual investment basis...

The St.Petersburg Entrepreneurs Association has made quite a few steps in this direction recently. In this city, in June the tradition of organizing “Russian Industrialist” exhibitions, a century old, is to be restored. It is important that our colleagues from foreign countries come to the Forum. Samples of new techniques and technologies will be demonstrated at another exhibition devoted to the achievements of St.Petersburg’s enterprises. I strongly believe that anyone visiting here in June is sure to find something useful both for his/her business or production enterprise, and discuss the ways to help this country overcome the crisis.
